Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Today we have had our school celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. It is amazing to think that Queen Elizabeth II has reigned as our monarch for 70 years. We spent our morning learning about her life and reign and then had a ‘street party’ to celebrate this afternoon. We had face painting, nail painting, tattoos, crown making, hot chocolate and marshmallows round the fire pit, jam and cream scones and a visit from the ice-cream van.
Huge thanks to our PTA who provided the ice-cream van and to our talented staff for all the activities they arranged. The children have had a very enjoyable day. We hope you have a great half term and nore
Congratulations to our Year 4 pupils who celebrated the sacrament of First Holy Communion at St Mary's church on either May 7th or 14th. Both groups of children were supported by family and friends and it was lovely for us all to be able to gather and share this wonderful day with them. Our thanks go to Fr Martin and the catechists in the parish for their continued support and care for the children in our school.
We wanted to share how proud we are of several pupils in our school for their compassion and kindness. Holly in Year 1 was so moved by our liturgy on hunger in our world that she donated the money she had received for her tooth coming out to our Lenten Charities. Connie, Layla and Anya in Year 5 were Good Samaritans this week when they stopped on their way home to help an elderly lady who had fallen and injured herself. What wonderful examples of our school values.
