  • Welcome to our New Reception Class

    Fri 28 Sep 2018
A huge thank you to our Y6 pupils who delivered a lovely assembly to pupils, parents and staff today, welcoming our new reception class children into our school community.  Our Y6 pupils have a reception class pupil whom is their 'special friend'. Y6 introduced their special friend, told us a little about them and pledged to be good role models and to support our youngest children through their first year at our school.  It was amazing to see how settled and confident our reception class children are after just a few weeks in school.
  • Mini Vinnies

Mon 24 Sep 2018 Joanne MacDonald
Today we welcomed 8 of our pupils into the Mini Vinnies, a group of children who will work to turn their concern into action and help to enhance the Catholic Life of our school. We know they will be great ambassadors and look forward to seeing them develop their roles. Pictured minus Keira who was ill!
  • Author Time

    Fri 14 Sep 2018
Today author Simon Bartram visited us in school to share tell us how he came to be a successful published author.  He explained the process his writing process, showed us his notebooks, first drafts, editors notes, final draft and published text.  He helped us to see how the draft edit and re-draft process in school is similar to what 'real life authors' use in their work.  We have made some changes to the way we approach writing in school.  We will be devoting more time to re-drafting and improving our work.  We look forward to publishing our favourite pieces in class books.  We are all excited about Author Time and can't wait to get writing!
