  • Sports Day 2021

    Fri 16 Jul 2021

Sports day was slightly different this year because we weren’t able to mix bubbles and invite our families along to cheer the children on.  We didn’t let this stop us having our annual Sports Day house challenge.  We ran our events in phase bubbles with one year group competing wearing their house colours and the other year group cheering them on.  Each child regardless of their finishing place earned points for their house.  Y5 and Y6 completed the events yesterday and we were finally able to total the points and find our House Sports Day Champions for 2021.  Huge congratulations to St Hilda’s our 2021 champions.

  • Y6 Leavers 2021

Fri 16 Jul 2021 Mrs Bland

When the bell sounds at 3.35pm today our Y6 pupils will walk down our corridors and leave St. Mary's for the very last time.  They have been a wonderful group of children.  They have worked hard developing and refining a whole host of knowledge and skills that will underpin their future success.  They have developed excellent friendships that will last well beyond their time here.  They are consientious, highly motivated, positive individuals who I know will move into their high schools, seize every new opportunity and continue to be highly successful in all they do.  We have planted and nurtured the seeds that we know will continue to grow and bear fruit long into their futures.  We feel privileged to have been part of their learning journey and will remember them all fondly for the fun and laughter they shared with us as a staff over their time here.  In order to help them remember their time with us the staff and governors presented them with a little gift to help them remember their time with us.

Good luck in all you do Year 6!
