Y6 Outdoor Education Residential Visit 2023

On Monday 13th November we were all packed and excited to be setting off on our residential visit.  Mrs Bland got a phone call from High Borrans to let us know that the Weather Warning for Wind there had been elevated to Amber, and the advice was not to travel. 

School had to take the disappointing decision not to travel and our adventure was delayed by a day.   We finally arrived at High Borrans feeling excited and keen to make up for lost time.  We settled into our rooms and met our group leaders.  During the week we slept well, ate well, did our chores without complaining and enjoyed a variety of activities.  We canoed on the tarn, ghyll scrambled, completed the ropes course, did some orienteering, explored a quarry and did a self led walk on one of the fells.  We had a wonderful adventure, we learned so much about ourselves and our friends, we tested our resilience and developed our independence and most importantly we have made many happy memories that will stay with us for many years.
