Swimming Gala

On Thursday 4th April a team of 17 Y5 pupils made their way to Tynemouth Pool to take part in a Schools Swimming Gala.  There were 3 primary, 2 middle  schools and 1 academy school in the competition.  There were a range of individual races and relay events in which the children swam front crawl, breast stroke, back stroke and butterfly.  Our children were fantastic and swam their hearts out against some really tough competition.  We were delighted to take home some medals - 3rd in the girls back stroke and 3rd in the Cannon relay event.  All swimmers should feel very proud of their achievements today.
