Phillip Reilly Cup Football Tournament

A team made up of Y3 and 4 boys took part in The Phillip Reilly Cup this afternoon.  This is a special event, held every year in memory of a boy Calle Phillip Reilly who loved football.  St Mary’s has a special link to this event having had Phillip’s niece attend our school in recent years. 

Our team were amazing! They got off to a flying start winning and drawing the first 2 games.  They played their hearts out in the next rounds but just fell short meaning we didn’t qualify for the semi-finals

The boys had a great afternoon, worked their socks off and and showed great sportsmanship - they should be very proud of themselves.
