KS1 Advent Morning

This morning the children in Key Stage 1 enjoyed an Advent morning. We created some crafts that helped us to remember the season of Advent. One of these is the Bambinelli. In Italy on the third Sunday of Advent, children take a wooden baby Jesus to Mass to have it blessed. They then wrap it up and place it under their tree. On Christmas morning they unwrap the baby Jesus first to help them remember the true meaning of Christmas. The children are bringing home their Bambinellis today.
