School Improvement

As a school St. Mary's is constantly seeking ways to improve what we offer our children.  Our aim is to provide a range of learning opportunities planned and impromptu which enable our children to develop skills and knowledge that support them to be lifelong learners who achieve their unique and individual potential.

We review our provision annually seeking the views of parents and pupils and use these alongside outcomes for pupils and any new guidance from DFE or Ofsted to identify the priorities for improvement for the forthcoming academic year.  These priorities are brought together in our  School Improvement Plan document which outlines what the priorities are and how we seek to achieve these.  The process of school improvement is multi-faceted and involves the whole staff team.  Progress against this plan is monitored by the pupil achievement and curriculum committee of the governing body and reported on termly to the full governing body.  Upon request from stakeholders we are delighted to share a summary of our School Improvement Plan below.
