World Book Day Celebrations

Last week's snow meant that we didn't get to celebrate World Book Day on March 1st.  We didn't allow the snow stop us from celebrating our love for reading so we had our World Book Day event today.   This year we explored books from different cultures.  Each teacher chose a book from a different culture and planned an activity to go with the book. Each pupil was given a 'Book Passport' and as they visited different classrooms they heard the story from the chosen culture and completed the task based on the story to get their passport stamped.  The children were able to choose which countries they visited which meant a mix of year groups exploring books from different cultures together.  A really enjoyable way to celebrate World Book Day.
