Our value this term has been ‘Service’. As our final act of service we took a collection at the end of our Christmas performances to support our local Salvation Army in ensuring that homeless people in North Shields have a hot meal and warm place to spend Christmas Day. They visited school to collect our cheque for £605.18 and told us about a new project they are running called ‘Sleep Pod’. This helps the homeless to stay warm and dry. Some of our children tried the pods out and said they were very warm inside. Thank you to our very generous parents for supporting this appeal.
