Delight at the Diocesan Festival

Today our Y6 pupils joined 300 Y6 pupils from schools across the Diocese at the Emmaus Youth Village for Primary Festival 2018.  The theme of the festival was ‘Plan Be’.  The children thought about how we make plans for different things and how sometimes these plans don’t work out so we have to change things and sometimes come up with a ‘Plan Be’.  They used the Beattitudes to help them understand the gifts and characteristics that they have that enable them to overcome the challenges life throws at them.  They thought about the need to sometimes change direction or rebuild when things don’t go how we thought they would.  We used film, prayer and music to help us with our reflections and discussions.  We all had a fantastic day!
