Web Waver

In creating our school website the staff, and those involved in producing and publishing material, have sought the advice of many of the publications available on this subject. To the best of our knowledge all material on this site has been checked for copyright infringements and where appropriate, permission has been sought, and acknowledgement given, for the use of material in which another party has intellectual property rights.

It is also our understanding that any links made from these web pages with other sites, are “safe” for children; they have been researched by our staff for their appropriate content. We cannot accept responsibility for any links made with sites beyond those recommended here and request that parents take time to research “safe surfing for kids” before allowing children to venture further in their quest for knowledge.

Should any parent find material of an inappropriate nature on this site or indeed on any site we have recommended, we ask that you inform the school immediately. Our precedence, at all times, is to ensure the safe education of our children and, with your help, we can continue to introduce our pupils to the modern technological resources available to them without subjecting them to inappropriate and offensive material.

It is the decision of Mr Murray and the staff of St Mary’s to ensure that no misuse of published material can be made. To that end we have created a site where children’s rights are respected and upheld. Our children’s work and achievements will be showcased and celebrated; however, children’s names will not appear in full. Christian names and a surname initial will be generally shown to denote ownership of a piece of work and children will not be photographed for our website.

Copyright

All Text and graphics contained in our website are either created by the children of St Mary’s or are royalty free. The work of our children remains theirs and is therefore copyrighted to St Mary’s School. You may not copy or reproduce in any way stmarysonline content except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any use of stmarysonline content other than for personal, non-commercial use requires written permission from the Headteacher.

E Mail

E mail to and from the school will be treated with the utmost respect for privacy as laid out in our privacy policy. E mail addresses will never be given to a third party.

E mails will not be accepted as notification of absence and all urgent matters must make contact directly with the school via telephone or personal visit. E mails must be used only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not diminish or infringe upon the rights of the receiver or cause damage to the site or distress to anyone using stmarysonline.

Virus

Whilst every effort will be made to check data and keep our site and its content virus free, St Mary’s cannot accept responsibility for any damage or loss as a result of visiting our site.
