A Happy New Year

A very happy 2012 to all visitors to our website. We hope to be sharing many of our achievements with you this year so please keep visiting our pages. For those of you with children in our school, don't forget to keep visiting the diary pages for information of events in and out of school. Every attempt is made to keep these up to date wherever possible (please be patient with us if changes are made at short notice and therefore don't make the website)

Christmas Activities Revisited

Our Nativity Play, Whoops-a-daisy Angel was a huge success.  The children looked fantastic and they sang their hearts out to impress a huge audience. Well done Key Stage 1.

Our junior children helped us to prepare for the Christmas season so well with their prayerful and touching carol service. They sang so beautifully as thy led us through the story of that  first Christmas. Well done KS2.

Thank you to all parents, grandparents and friends who took time to give us some very positive and encouraging feedback. Your views are important to us and help us to plan successfully for future events.

Christmas Appeal

We were amazed at your generosity, as always, during the collections held at our carol concert and nativity play. Thanks to you, the charity SHELTER was a terrific £428 better off at the busy time of Christmas; helping to provide homes and security for those who have no-one else to turn to. What better way to spread our Christmas message than that! Thank you so much.

Goodbye Auntie Sharman

We recently said a sad “goodbye” to Auntie Sharman who has been our cook for many, many years. We held an assembly in her honour and sent her on her way with a tear in her eye but a very warm feeling in her heart. We hope she enjoys the rest her retirement might bring her.

New Faces @ St Mary's

We would like to extend a warm welcome some new faces to our school.

Aunty Debbie is settling in as our new cook and we are all looking forward to sampling her yummy recipes.

Ms Lavery in Year 5 and Mrs Vaughan in year 4 have joined us whilst Miss Summerly and Mrs Thompson  are on maternity leave. We hope that thy soon feel part of the t Mary’s family and enjoy their time with us.

Mr McDonald is now well and truly part of the furniture here at St Mary's having completed a whole term with year 3. We hope he feels settled and that his class continue to make him feel right at home.

High Borrans

Our year 6 children are soooooooooooooooo excited to be heading off to Windemere for an outward bounds experience at High Borrans this month. Watch this space for news of their time there. We do hope they have a wonderful time and that they bring our members of staff back with at least SOME sleep under their belts.
